Obituary: A Time To Be Born LaMichael DeWayne Wright affectionately known as Big Mike or Mike Wyte by his family and friend was born September 23, 1984 to Dorothy Wright and the late Hidlard Wright in Columbia, South Carolina. A Time To Grow Mike was educated in Richland County School District One where he graduated from Lower Richland High School. He was baptized at an early age at Zion Damascus #2 Baptist Church in Hopkins, South Carolina. He later moved to Columbia, South Carolina and married the former Danielle Pollen. He was employed with the City of Columbia for a period of time and later employed with Southern Wine & Spirits for 10 years and with Auto Zone for 3 years until his transition from labor to reward. He was a dedicated employee, well respected and uplifted person. A Time To Live Those who will forever cherish fond and precious memories are his loving and devoted wife, Danielle Wright; daughter, LaMonika Wright; son, LaMichael Wright, Jr.; adoreable mother, Dorothy Wright; sisters, LaKesha Wright, Lateshia (Robert) Cobb and Chersia Wright of Texas; and brother, Jairus Wright of Florida; grandfather, Roosevelt Robinson, Sr.; aunts, Rosa Nowell and Jacqueline (Reginald) Allen of Hopkins, Nelda (Richard) Duffey and Della Wright of Dallas, Texas; uncles, Roosevelt (Lois) Robinson and Ray Robinson of Hopkins, Melvin (Eula) Wright, and Norris Wright; mother-in-law, Florence Pollen of Florida; father-in-law, Melvin Beaufort of Charleston; special daddy, Bill Fletcher of Florida; grandmother, Joyce "Granny" Pollen; sisters-in-law, Ronneisha Evans and Renatta Beaufort of Florida; brothers-in-law, James Bradley and Kevin Bradley of Florida; and host of nieces, nephews, great aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family who truly miss him so dearly. A Time To Serve He was baptist and a member of Zion Damascus Baptist Church #2 under the leadership of Reverend W. G. Sanders. He also served at Sidney Park CME on the music ministry and men choir. He started singing quartet with his family group, Deacon Roosevelt Robinson & The Flying Souls at the age of 11 years old. In his later years, he became a lead singer, bass guitar player and assistant manager. He loved spending time with his family and children. Michael always had a smile and was always energetic, no matter where he saw you he would make his way to you and ask "how you doing?" He was no stranger to anyone or hard work. Whenever he could, he would always lend a helping hand to anyone without hesitation. He enjoyed watching the Cowboys, writing, music, playing his guitar and playing NBA 2K in his Dallas Cowboys Man Cave. There was never a dull moment when Mike was around and will always debate with you. Michael was a mechanic and loved to cook on the grill, always playing his guitar and singing and even left some songs behind that he wrote. A Time To Die Mike transitioned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, morning February 7, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Hidlard Wright; grandmother, Dorothy Mae Robinson; uncles, Raymond Robinson, Earl James, and Robert Wright; aunts, Shirley Palmer, Lola Frances Baston, and Jimmy Lee Wright. Services: Funeral Service for LaMichael Dewayne Wright, will be held 11:00 am Thursday February 16, 2017 at Ladson 's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Internment to follow in the Zion Damascus II Church Cemetery.
