Elizabeth Barnes Tribute

Elizabeth Faye Barnes peacefully passed on Monday, May 15, 2023. She was the daughter of Letha Faye (Craft) and William James Barnes and born May 16, 1960 in Columbia, SC.

Beth lived a lot of life in her 62 years. By the time she was 17, she was the mother of two little girls. If you knew her, you know she had her struggles in life and may not have always made the best decisions but there was also a lot of good in her. Even when she did not have much, she was always generous with it. She was quite witty and could really make you laugh. If you knew her, I promise you can think of a time she had you laughing. She LOVED Christmas. She always decorated and enjoyed the holiday season....and let's not get started on her love for the Grinch! She could run more lights up any tree you have ever seen. She got that from her daddy. With little to nothing, she would always provide a clean home in which she would show off her exceptional decorating skills. She could make anything look good and feel like home. She was also a very good cook and passed those skills along. Her potato and cheese casserole will live on!

She is survived by her mother, Letha Faye Barnes and two siblings; Bill Barnes and Renee Burgess. She also had many nieces and nephews she leaves behind including Kasie Crawford and her four beautiful children.

Beth's most loved and proudest accomplishment in her life are her two surviving daughters and her grandchildren. Her first born, Denise (Barnes) Boulware along with her husband Bill, have two daughters; Kayla and Kara. Little sister, RoseAnn (Segura) Jumper along with her husband Jeffery, have 3 children; Ariana Benjamin (Austin), Malorie and Hudson. In her final days, she only spoke of how proud she was of her children and grandchildren. There was nothing more that would make her smile. For whatever Beth did in life, she helped to raise two very strong daughter's.  Two daughters who would not change a thing because it has enabled them to have the families that they have today.

All the good that Beth possesed will live on. It will live on in her daughter's and grandchildren. We will always make you proud. We love you, Mama.
