As true for all divine creatures, on May 18, 1958, the universe requested the sublime and into
the earthly realm the ethereal being known as Analise Brown came to be born in Buffalo, NY. If
mortals should be assigned with her creation, she identified Willie Mann and Ruth Hicks as her
parents. She credited her Grandparents Katherine and Peter Mann with giving her a loving and
supportive foundation during her early life. While living, she imbued her children with her sense of humor, tenacity, and grace.
She is the mother of six, predeceased by her oldest child Lamont Page. She leaves behind several
grandchildren and her living children: Nadirah Page, Mustafah Askia, Anessah Barker(Harold),
and Xylikah Brown. She also leaves behind a child she chose to mother, though not blood
related, Assadd Brown and a husband, Anthony Brown, whose love spans half a century.
Our wildflower. No pot could keep her, no garden could tame her. Analise Brown was an avid
reader and a brilliant mind and could engage in conversations about almost any topic. She was
a staunch fan of boxing and the Buffalo Bills. She loved sharing books with her daughters and
listening to music with her husband. Her favorite song was Golden Lady by Stevie Wonder.
She has been called home to peace July 18, 2021 in the early hours of the morning and it is a
peace she truly deserves. In her last days, she fought with everything she had and her
persistence even in the face of cancer and death will forever inspire those who witnessed it.
May her dark humor and her quick wit live forever in the lives and hearts of all who loved and
met her.
