Willie James "Weechie" Thompson

Obituary: Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Dr. Willie James Thompson, Daniel Thompson and Timothy Thompson; daughters, Chiquita Thompson, Brittany Thompson and Chinita Thomas; parents, Rev. Willie James and Rebecca S. Goodwin; brothers, Wayne E. (Maxine) Goodwin and Barry L. (Loretta) Goodwin; sisters, Janice G. (Jerry) Dinkins, Wanda L. Herbert and Susan G. Goodwin; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; a special friend, Liz Sutton along with a host of other loving relatives and friends all of whom will miss him dearly. Services: will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2015 at New Light Beulah Baptist Church with internment to follow at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2 to 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Services have been entrusted to JP Holley Funeral Home.
