Obituary: Mrs. Willie Ann Robinson, the daughter of the late Carl Cleophus and Gladys J. Hazel of Ware Shoals, SC. (reared in the home of Charles Sr. and Thelma Marshall) of whom all preceded her in death, was born April 18, 1949 and attended the Public Schools of Abbeville County. She was a 1972 graduate of Benedict College. While on campus pledge Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. During her collegiate years, she met the love of her life Mr. Melvin Anthony Robinson, Sr. Ann worked and retired from the United States Post Office after 30 years, where she served as a rural carrier faithfully; rain, sleet, or snow. Before and after her retirement, she served the National Association of Postal and Federal Employees (NAPFE) in several capacities (President of Local 313) until her failing health. Ann leaves to cherish her fond memories of her husband of 47 years, Melvin A. Robinson, Sr, Three sons James C. "Jamie" (Phila) of Columbia, SC, Melvin A., Jr. "Titus" (Nina) of Athens, GA, and Reginald E., Sr. "Reggie" (Kathyrn) of Columbia, SC. 11 Grandchildren Andre (23), Kara (19), Kemba (16), Elisa (10), Reginald Jr. (9), Elizabeth (7), Kimathi (5), Isabella (5), Chloe (4), Anthony (2), and Marcus (1) whom she cherished with all her heart, mind, and soul. Two sisters Gladys Hazel of Columbia, SC and Azilee Jenkins of Due West, SC. ; Two brothers Charles Marshall Jr. of Tulsa, OK and Marion Marshall of Atlanta, GA. Brothers William, James, and Rayford preceded her in her death. 9 Sister in-Laws and 2 Brother in-Laws, her closest friends Sylena Sweeney, RoseWhite, Sister Kathy Shepperd, Teresa Cannon and a host of relatives and friends who will truly miss her. Services: Service for Mrs. Willie Ann Robinson, will be held 4:00 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Antisdel Chapel on Benedict College Campus. Visitation will be held Tuesday the family will receive friends from 6pm to 7pm at the JP Holley Funeral Home- Columbia Chapel.
