William Earl Fonvielle, Jr passed away May 31, 2020 after a lengthy battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis(Lou Gehrig’s disease.) Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, the longtime owner of The Savannah Pharmacy spent his last years in Sumter, South Carolina. “Earl” was preceded in death by his parents William Earl Fonvielle, Sr and Mattie Fonvielle Dunn and by his beloved aunt Frances E. Fonvielle. He is survived by his son and daughter in law Mr. and Mrs. W. Clay Fonvielle, two sisters Dr. Jacquelyn F. Bontemps and Ms. Shirrill L. Fonvielle and multiple other relatives. A memorial for Earl will be held at a later date once Covid19 levels allow. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Earl’s name to the Georgia chapter of the ALS Association.
