Thomas Edward Scott, Sr.

Obituary: Mr. Thomas Edward Scott, Sr., affectionately known as "Tommy" was born December 13, 1948, to the late Lewis, Sr. and Beatrice Scott. He was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 31, 2018. He was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina, and graduated from Webber High School. He was retired honorably from the United States Army after many years of service. Mr. Scott was preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Wilbert, Lewis, Jr., and Willie Scott; one sister, Shirley Scott Young; and one daughter, Jakeema Reese. Thomas Edward Scott, Sr. leaves to to mourn his passing: three children, Thomas (Terri) Scott, Jr., of Hopkins, SC, Leslie Scott, and Rhonda Wilson, both of Eastover, SC; his loving companion, Dorothy Higgins, of the home; stepchildren, Satora Higgins, of Eastover, SC and Anthony Jackson, of California; two brothers, Mickey (Eartha Lee) Scott, of Eastover, SC and Leroy (Tisa) Scott, of Columbia, SC; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. Services: Funeral services for Thomas Edward Scott, Sr. will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at JP Holley Funeral Home, Garners Ferry Road, Chapel. Interment with full military honors will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Fort Jackson National Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
