Terry Maurice Goins

Terry Maurice Goins, age 55, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on June 18, 2024. Born on June 27, 1968, to the late Willie Goins and his surviving mother, Lottie Goins, Terry was a cherished son, brother, father, and friend. A proud graduate of Forest Park High School's Class of 1985, Terry's youthful years were marked by his involvement with the Boy Scouts, an experience that likely inspired his subsequent service to his country. In November  of 1986, Terry answered the call of duty and  enlisted in the United States Army.  Terry's keen intellect and quick wit were  matched only by his radiant smile, which brought joy to all who were fortunate enough to  know him. In his final years, Terry assumed the role of primary caregiver for his mother, a  testament to his compassionate spirit and  dedication to family. His guiding principle in navigating the complexities of care was a simple  yet profound piece of advice: "Pick your battles."  The sudden loss of Terry has left an indelible void in the hearts of those who loved him. While we grieve his passing, we take solace in  the knowledge that he is now in the loving  embrace of the Lord.  Predeceased by his father, Willie Goins Jr.,  Terry's memory will be forever cherished by his beloved mother, Lottie Goins; his siblings, Larry Goins (LaVerne), Barbara Mitchell, Willa Goins- Bey, Bernard Brown (Gwendolyn), Kenneth  Brown (Patricia), Dolores Moore (Gary), David  Brown, and Wanda Brown (Darrell); and his children, Terri Goins Jr., Jelisa Goins, Theresa Goins, Tania Goins-Baker, Kaneka Goins, India  Goins, Jamiya Goins, and Nadia Goins. Terry's legacy also lives on through his treasured grandchildren, numerous relatives, and a wide  circle of friends. We offer special thanks to  Muffin, who has become like a bonus daughter,  an honorable mention to Latasha Downing, someone who became more than a family  friend, but a sister, whom we love very much.  May Terry Maurice Goins rest in peace as we  carry forward the light of his memory in our  lives.
