August 11, 1960 — September 19, 2023

Stanley Kenneth Miller, also known as Nupper, 63, passed away on September 19, 2023, at his home in Columbia, South Carolina. Born on August 11, 1960, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Stan was a beloved individual who leaves behind a profound impact on those who knew him. Stan was a gentle and hardworking man, always ready to bring a smile to someone's face or share a laugh. He possessed a kind and loving soul, and above all, was a true gentleman. His warm and compassionate nature endeared him to many. In his career, Stan dedicated 27 years to the NJ Juvenile Justice Commission, where he started in the Community Programs component at Voorhees Residential. Throughout his tenure, he held the esteemed position of Institutional Trade Instructor. For 14 of those years, Stan worked at the New Jersey Training School, contributing his skills to the Maintenance Department. After retiring from the State of New Jersey, he continued on to serve the elderly in various assisted living communities in central New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Outside of his professional life, Stan had a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Rock-n-Roll, and “when he could afford it, a good cigar”. He also had a deep appreciation for the muscle cars of his youth, often spending his free time building models of them. Fishing, particularly fly fishing, was another hobby that brought him joy. Stan even took pleasure in crafting his own flies. Stan is survived by his loving fiancée, Roxanna M. Foy (nee Gonzalez). His son Chad, daughter-in-law Mariah, and grandchildren: Peyton, Orion, and Jensen. His sister Barbara, brother-in-law Ronnie, niece Britany and family, and nephew Bryce also mourn his loss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Miller and Alberta (Eck) Miller. Stanley Kenneth Miller will forever be remembered as a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held to honor his memory. May he rest in peace.
