Srikrishna Swamy Surasi

Dr. Srikrishna Swamy Surasi, 81, formerly of Staten Island, New York, entered into eternal rest on April 17, 2026.

Dr. Srikrishna Swamy Surasi was surrounded by his loving family at his home in Columbia, South Carolina.He is survived by his children, Sharda Surasi and Krishna Surasi; his daughter-in-law, Sarah Boué; and his cherished granddaughter, Celia Boué Surasi.Born in India, Dr. Surasi completed his medical education at Gandhi Medical College before moving to New York City in 1975 to pursue his passion for medicine and begin his distinguished career as a urologist.

For more than fifty years, he dedicated his life to caring for his patients with exceptional skill, compassion, and unwavering commitment. He truly loved his work, especially his time in the operating room, where he found great purpose and fulfillment.Dr. Surasi will be deeply missed by his patients, colleagues, friends, and devoted family, all of whom were touched by his kindness, wisdom, and generosity of spirit.

A Celebration of Life will be held from one o'clock in the afternoon to four o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday the 2nd day of May, 2026, at Doc Hennigan’s, 1144 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, New York.
