Samuel Berkley

Obituary: Mr. Samuel Berkley, III was born on July 12, 1948 in Richmond, Virginia. He was the son of the late Samuel and Dorothy Russell Berkley. On Friday, May 18, 2018, the Lord called him back home. Sammy as he was affectionately called by family and friends was employed for over thirty-five (35) years as a school bus driver. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Samuel and Dorothy Russell Berkley. Samuel Berkley, III leaves to cherish his precious memory: his wife, Paula Berkley, of the home; two sons, Rashon Bennett and Dion Bennett, both of Macon, Georgia; one sister, JoAnn (Eric) Giles, of Passaic, NJ; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. Services: A memorial service for Samuel Berkley will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the JP Holley Funeral Home, Garners Ferry Road Chapel.
