Robert "Bob" Campbell Jr

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Campbell Jr., who transitioned from his earthly life to his heavenly home on his 64th birthday.  Bob passed away peacefully at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, surrounded by his beloved family and friends.  Born on August 19, 1960, the eldest child of Alleen (Butler) Campbell and Robert "Bob" Campbell, Sr., of Norristown, Pennsylvania.  His grandmother, Eliza Butler, was instrumental in laying a foundation of Jesus Christ in Bob's life at a young age.

Bob was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.  He lived life to the fullest, finding joy in simple pleasures.  An avid outdoorsman, Bob spent countless hours enjoying nature, creating beautiful memories with those he loved, hunting, camping and his most favorite, fishing.  He loved watching ID channels, Detective shows, and Live PD.  He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor, always ready with a joke that could light up any room.

Bob leaves behind his high school sweetheart, Juanita Pamela (Jackson) of 44 years.  Along with his sister, Elizabeth (Thomas), eldest daughter Teresa Abney (Will), twins Robert lll (Jacky) and Robynne Campbell all of Columbia, SC.  His Mother in love/law, Charlene Steele, his Uncle Preston, Aunt Mildred, and Aunt Marlene, all of Norristown, PA.  He has 8 grandchildren, a host of brothers/sisters in love, nieces, nephews, and adopted children that he loved as his own.  Bob's spirit of love and laughter will continue to resonate in all the lives of those he touched.  He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and unbreakable bonds that will remain in the hearts of his family.

A Celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, 12pm at Rehoboth Baptist Church, 4646 Hardscrabble Rd., Columbia, SC.  All who knew him are welcome to join us in remembering a remarkable man whose impact on our lives will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Bob.  You will be dearly missed and forever loved.
