Reginald S Scott

Reginald Sherwood Scott, 67, of Columbia, SC, departed this life on December 1, 2024.

Reginald, also affectionately known by his loved ones and friends as Bookie, Boogie and Scott, was born in Columbia, SC on November 5, 1957, to the late Howard and Rosa Marie Scott. He was sixth of nine siblings.

Reginald was educated in the Richland County School System and completed his education at Dreher High School.

He worked in the food industry as a cook, as well as in the construction industry as a painter.

Reginald was a kind-hearted man who easily made friends and acquaintances wherever he went. He had an artistry talent to draw, but he only used his gift as a hobby. Reginald loved the word of God and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 1990. His ministry was to spread the Word of God through song, he had a strong and melodious voice. Reginald was stricken with a debilitating illness over the past several years, but he was lovingly cared for by his eldest children, their mother and other relatives.

Reginald, Bookie, Boogie, Scott will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved the wonderful man that he was.

Reginald was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Wayne Scott, mother, Rosa Marie Scott, father, Howard Scott Sr., sister, Hazel Scott-Rose and grandson, Terious Banks.

He leaves to cherish his memory Sabrina (Elbert) Parker (Daughter), sons Thomas (Denise) Banks, Torrence Scott, Reginald Scott, brothers Howard Scott Jr. and Palmer Scott, sisters Jacqueline Scott, Wendy (Stanley) Lewis, Irish Jackson and Rosahal Scott. Grandchildren Shiaquez Daniels, Amren Daniels, William Daniels, Dylan Banks and Justin Banks.
