Nathaniel Wells

On Sunday March 7, 2021, The Lord called Mr. Nathaniel Wells to rest after an illness at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence SC. He is now resting from all sickness sufferings and pain. Nathaniel was born in Lee County on March 15, 1966 to the late George Wells Sr. & Dorothy Mae Gamble Wells. He attended the public schools of Lee County, and was a 1984 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in Elliott SC.After graduating high school, He was employed at the Bishopville Oil Mill in Bishopville SC. He later moved to work at Whitaker’s of Mayesville SC where he was a dedicated employee of over 25 years until his health failed. Nathaniel was married to the former Marie Singleton Wells. To this union 3 Children were born.“Nate Dogg” as he was affectionately called, his memories will be cherished by his Children, Damien Nathaniel Wells of Florence SC, Courtney Umeko (Dominic) Brown and Sheniqua Latrice Wells both of Darlington SC. Two step-sons Christopher (Gwen) Williams of Bowman SC and Tyrell Pringle of Darlington SC. Thirt-teen grandchildren. Five sisters Georgia Mae Reames of St. Charles SC;  Ora Belle Wilson of Elliott SC; Annie Lou (Robert) Moses; Evaline (Harold) Harriott both of Sumter SC; and  Doreatha Wells of Elliott SC. One Brother James (Claudia) Wells of Elliott SC. Three aunts Virginia Williams of Lamar SC; Hattie Mae Boone of Mayesville SC; and Deloris Wells of Elliott SC. One Uncle John Lisbon of Florida. He also leaves to cherish fond memories a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Nathaniel was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and four brother in laws.
