Nancy Ann Artz, 93, of Columbia, South Carolina died on Sunday, December 6, 2020. She was the beloved daughter of John and Beatrice Laughlin of McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Nancy attended the College of William and Mary in Virginia where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and received a bachelors degree in tailoring and dress design. She received her masters degree in nutrition from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Nancy was an accomplished equestrian and participated in regional competitions for several years.

She married William McLeary Artz of Pittsburgh, PA. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Lee Artz of Pittsburgh, PA, and her son, William Laughlin Artz of Brooklyn, New York. She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings William “Bull,” Margaret, and Sally Laughlin; her son John Lambert Artz, and her two prize-winning horses, General Ike and Eliot Ness. To honor her request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Cremation is being provided by JP Holley Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, remembrance may be made by a contribution to a local animal rescue shelter.
