A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held for twins, Marilyn Jann Jenkins Brown and Carolyn Jenkins Smith, at 3PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the City of Hope Worship Center (1403 D Avenue, West Columbia, South Carolina 29169.)

Marilyn Jann Jenkins Brown, 73, of West Columbia, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Born on June 10, 1951, in Columbia, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Charles Jenkins, Sr. and Mary Etta Jenkins. She was avid Christian. She was the wife of the late Eddie Corne, Sr. of North Carolina and Algie Washington Brown of Sandersville, GA. Marlyn earned her LPN degree and had 40 plus year career in nursing, she worked for Craft Farrow State hospital in Columbia, SC., Rawlings Nursing Home in Sandersville, GA, Extend Care Facility and the Same Day Surgery department at the WCRM Center in Sandersville, GA. She loved nursing and caring for her patients. She would come home from work and sit in the car crying about her patients often. It broke her heart when she was forced to retire due to her own health. Marilyn found joy in having a large garden and canning and loved sharing the produce with family and many in the Sandersville community Family and friends fondly remember her generous and kind personality. She loved to share her faith with everyone. She will be missed dearly by many. Survivors include her children, Belinda Corne Easterling(Jack), Sheila Corne Deese, Phillip Sangster (April), Denise Brown Meadows(Mike), Deborah Brown Wilder(Darrell),Eddie Corne, Jr. (Robin), Alan Brown(Pam), Angela Corne Kitchens(Tim), grandchildren, Nicole Hoag Hardeman(Will), CJ Hoag(Christina), Alayna Hoag, Robert Wilder(Melanie), Kasey Copelan(Drew), Amber Melton(Gerald), Tonia Rose, Spencer Kitchens, Jr.(Stevie), Matthew Kitchens(Bre), Kendrick Chambers, Stephanie Catledge(Stephen), Lyssa Kitchens Willuweit(Fabian), Eddie Corne, III, Dustin Brown(Erika), Cody Brown, Austin Corne, Jacob Corne(Jennifer)Aaron Corne(Chloe), Ashley Cowart(Peyton), Alexis Corne, Nathanael Corne(Ella), Rebekah Corne, Lindsey Brooks(Billy), Johnathan Smith, and great-grandchildren, Craven Tarlton, Rachel Kitchens, Kelly Tarlton, Caleb Kitchens Willuweit, Tritan Toye, Elijah Kitchens, Cayden Kirkham, Maia Kitchens, Logan Kirkham, GW Melton, Maddison Brown, Addalynn Brown, Harley Brown, Tucker Brown, Beau Brown, Willow Brown, Tatum Pinkerton, Jacobie Pinkerton, Oliver Kitchens, Lily-Rose Willuweit, Liam Hardeman, Chesnee Catledge, Aries Kitchens, Arianna Corne, Cayde Willuweit, Lotis Kitchens, Luke Hardeman, Isabella Corne, Hartlee Catledge, Carmen Hoag and more; siblings, Ronald Jenkins, Sr. (Brenda) of Maryland, and brothers-in-laws: Cecil Brown, Sr., Randy Brown(Becky), Harville Brown, Art Smith of Sandersville, and sister-in-law Sarah Bratcher as well as many many nieces and nephews that loved her and were very close. In addition to her husbands and parents, she is preceded in death by her children Tonya Corne, Michael Corne and Greg Brown, grandchildren, Nathaniel Price, Natlie Price, Jennifer Rose, Tyler Sangster, her brother, Charles Jenkins, Sr. (Ellie), and by her sisters Sandra Jenkins Brown (Mack), and Carolyn Jenkins Smith of Sandersville, GA.
