Obituary: Louise Murray Taylor, of Columbia, South Carolina, was born on July 20, 1934 in Wateree, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Elijah Murray and Susie McKnight Murray. She passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. She was employed as a Lab Technician at Waverly Hospital. After twenty-one (21) years of dedicated service she retired from working with Dr. James A. Fort, as a Lab Technician and Office Assistant. At an early age, Louise was a member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church. Later in life, she was baptized and became a member of First Nazareth Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She always had a smile for everyone she met. Louise was preceded in death by: her parents, Elijah Murray and Susie McKnight Murray; two sisters, Ruth M. Murray and Cora Lee Ferrell; three brothers, William Murray, Richard Murray, and Sam McKnight; one brother-in-law, Lewis N. Ferrell; and one sister-in-law, Sadie S. McKnight. Louise Murray Taylor is survived by: two sons, Eddie (Margaret) Taylor and Cleveland (Katherine) Taylor; one sister, Susan M. Edwards; three grandchildren, Telisa Taylor, Diseek Taylor, and Byron Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. Services: Funeral services for Louise Murray Taylor will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the First Nazareth Baptist Church with burial in the Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the JP Holley Funeral Home Garners Ferry Road Chapel.
