Obituary: Early Saturday Morning of April 14, 2018, God, in His infinite wisdom, dispatched angels around our departed, while she was sleeping, to bring her home to gain eternal life. Lottie Bell Mack Hunter affectionately known as "Lottie Bell" was born on December 3, 1931, one of eleven children of the late Reverend Waddell Mack and Pearl Pringle Mack. On February 12, 1952, she married Thomas "Snap" Hunter, Sr. who preceded her in death. Lottie Bell spent her entire life as a homemaker taking care of her husband, children and raising her grandchildren. She was a great cook and baker and well known for her castiron corn bread. The Hunter Family was known for getting together every Sunday after church for family dinners, fun & fellowship at "Snap" & "Lottie Bell" house. "Lottie Bell" joined Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and later became a member of her husband's church, St. Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church. After the passing of her husband, she returned to her home church, Cedar Grove, where she served on the senior choir and Pastor's Aid. Lottie Bell was very outspoken and a woman of many words with a unique personality of her own. Every conversation will always end with Lottie Bell having the last word. She will be deeply missed and remembered by everyone. In addition to her husband and parents, Lottie Bell was also preceded in death by: five children, John "Bootchie" Hunter, Lewis "Mossy" Hunter, Thomas "JuneBug" Hunter, James Mack, and Frank Mills; eight siblings, Arthur E. Mack, Arnold Mack, William A. Mack, Waddell Mack, Jr., Rudolph Mack, Herbert Lee Mack, Robert Lee Mack, and Irma Celeste "Sheba" Mack Fortune; three grandchildren, Juan Hunter, Waddell Hunter, Jr., and Danielle Croom; and one son-in-law, James "Pee Wee" Titus. She leaves to cherish precious memories: her children, Thomasena (James) Jackson, Patricia Hunter Titus, Reverend Clarence (Lillie) Hunter, Waddell (Gloria) Hunter, George Hunter, Mildred Britton, Priscilla (Johnnie) Washington, all of Sumter, South Carolina Ometta Ann Hunter, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Ivory Loretta (Orin) Dennis, of Rembert, South Carolina; two brothers, Raymond (Brenda) Mack and Leon Mack, both of Sumter South Carolina; four daughters-in-law, Bertha Hunter, Maggie Lee Sumter Hunter, Mary Johnson Hunter, and Wilhelminia Mills all of Sumter, South Carolina; three sisters-in-law, Rovena Johnson Richardson, of Sumter, SC Gita Mack, of Shelby, NC and Mary Mack, Philadelphia, PA; one special niece, Willie Mae "Toot" Dow; one special friend, Denia Mahoney; her caregivers, Bertha Hunter; Rene Servance, and Virginia Long; 65 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom she loved with her whole heart. Services: Funeral services for Lottie "Bell" Mack Hunter will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Sumter, SC with burial to follow in the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Sumter, SC. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Kingdom Builders Deliverance Ministries, Inc. 621 W. Liberty Street, Sumter, SC, 29150.
