Mr. Lewis Broome Jr., 77, of Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. Broome entered into eternal rest on the 23rd day of January, 2026.

A Celebration of Life viewing will be conducted from 2-5 pm on Friday, the 30th day of January, 2026, at the JP Holley Funeral Home Northeast Chapel, 9010 Farrow Rd Road, Columbia, South Carolina.

Lewis (Skip) Broome Jr, age 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, at his home in Columbia SC. He attended C.A. Johnson High School and after that he enlisted in the Army and was Sargent from 1968-1971 during the Vietnam War. He really enjoyed drawing during his spare time but worked as a freelance painter. He also enjoyed spending time with kids and grandkids.

Lewis Broome Jr was preceeded in death by his wife, Sadiara Q. Broome of more than 48 years marriage and a son, Edward English Jr.

He is survived by his daughters, Virgoa (Troy) Wells, Lachresha Cannon, Carolyn English, a son Lewis (Kayla) Broome lll . A special daughter Sonia (Rod) English Green. Sisters-Maggie Bailey, Ola Mae Ashford, and brother James Broome. Lewis is also survived by 14 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly..
