Obituary: He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his precious memories his son, Alfred (Allison)Doctor; daughters, Jessica (Darrell) McCain, Jennifer Culler, Jenisa James, Joyce (Jabard) Barber; brothers, Jimmie (Patricia) James, Lewis (Tomiko) James, Ulysses (Gale) James, Andrew (Essie) James, David Smith, Leroy Bannister, Julius Smith, Kippy Smith; sisters, Leola Jackson, Mary J. (Harry) Jackson, Deloris Robinson, Betty (Stanley) Leaks, Mary S. (Kenneth) Chandler, Eliza Geiger, Rachel Ladson and Almetta Smith; Step-Brother, Joseph Garrick, Jr.; Step-Sisters, Rebecca (Julius) Huguenin, Mary Branch, and Cherry Garrick. Fifteen grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Services: Funeral Service for Mr. Joseph "Joe" James will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 17, 2017 at Temple Faith Bible Way, Gadsden SC. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3pm to 8pm at the JP Holley Funeral Home Columbia Chapel.
