Obituary: Mrs. Jessie Bell Gilmore Myers affectionately known as "Bell" was born October 29, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Stidney and Gussie Bell Gilmore. On Wednesday, March 7, 2018, she departed this life at Providence Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina. She was educated in the public schools of South Carolina and was employed at the University of South Carolina where she worked for over forty and retired after forty plus (40+) years of service. At an early age she joined the church and was a member of Miracle Faith Deliverance Church under Pastors Alonzo and Delores Ward, until her health began to decline. Bell was a fun-loving, gentle but spirit-filled, and family oriented lady who wholeheartedly loved the Lord. She will greatly be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Leroy Meyers; and two brothers, Aaron and Frank Gilmore Mrs. Jessie Bell Gilmore Meyers leaves to cherish her loving memory: three sisters, Mrs. Randy Jones, Mrs. Helen Neal, Mrs. Gussie Smith; one brother, Mr. Willie Gilmore; mother-in-law, Mrs. Francina Myers; a special niece, who was like a daughter, Kristie Jones; four brothers-in-law, Jerry (Barbara) Myers, Alexander (Wanda) Myers, Johnes Myers, and Calvert (Lorraine) Myers; six sisters-in-law, Annie E. Banks, Georgia Hollingwest, Francenia (Allen) Brown, Gloria (Harold) Majors, Robbie Myers and Silver Myers; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss her dearly Services: Funeral services for Jessie Gilmore Meyers will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church, Hopkins, SC, with burial in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at JP Holley Funeral Home.
