Obituary: Mr. Jesse O. Reese, affectionately known as "Rooster" or "Dad Reese" He was the son of the late James and Ira Bell Reese, was born on October 12, 1934, in Hopkins, SC. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 10, 2018, to be reunited with his wife, the late Mamie D. Reese and his Heavenly Father. When greeted by family and friends his favorite sayings were "it ain't easy and I'm pretty fair, how are you?" He was an avid baseball fan; he loved the Atlanta Braves and L.A. Dodgers. He was a brick mason that loved his craft and taught many to do what he loved. He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Doris R. Benjamin (Frankie), Jacqueline Reese (David), Cheryl R. Scott, and Jessica R. Linnen (Marvin); sisters, Rosena Lucas and Janie Outen; sisters-in-law, Margaret D. Prioleau and Selena Davis; one brother-in-law, Robert Davis; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. Services: Funeral services for Jesse Oliver Reese will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the JP Holley Funeral Home, Garners Ferry Road Chapel. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
