Jeffery Butts

Jeffery Butts, 66, of South Carolina, passed away on February 9, 2026, in Anderson, South Carolina.

Born on October 1, 1959, in West Columbia, South Carolina, Jeffery was the beloved son of Mildred Smith and Harold Butts. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gena Funk.

Jeffery worked faithfully for many years as a forklift operator, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to lend a helping hand to his coworkers. He took pride in doing his job well and earned the respect of those who worked alongside him. Jeffery was in  the United States Army prior to starting his work history. 

Jeffery will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and the friendships he formed throughout his life. He valued simple moments, good conversations, and the company of those he cared about. His presence brought comfort and familiarity to many, and he leaves behind memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving sister, Gwen Bell - Edmonds, one dear aunt, and many friends  and cousins who will miss him deeply.

Jeffery’s life was a testament to dedication, loyalty, and enduring friendship. Though he may be gone from our sight, he will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
