Isaac Williams, Sr.

Obituary: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isiah 40: 31 Isaac's Journey If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall holdme. Psalms 139: 9-10 KJV God stretched out his loving hands, whispered softly, "Isaac" come unto me and rest, I will give you a new heart, and Isaac answered God's call on February 14, 2017 at 3:00PM, and said "Lord I am Coming Home" and God closed his eyes andsilenced his heart, and carried him home. Mr. Isaac "Book", "Bull", "Boug" Williams Sr. was the last of five children born in Richland County to Dover Williams Sr. and Wilse Adams Williams on August 17, 1947. He was educated in the public schools of Richland County, graduating from Hopkins High School, now Hopkins Middle School. Isaac was taught at an early age the importance of Christ as the head of his life and family by his parents and grandparents. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of The New Light Beulah Baptist Church Family. Always delighting himself in the Lord, he often visited many of the local neighborhood churches to include Temple Of Faith Bible Way of Gadsden, Bishop Theodore R. Myers, Agape Ministries of Lower Richland, Pastor Frank Woods Jr., Non-Denomination Church, Pastor Timothy Scott. He knew and found comfort and peace in knowing the joy of the Lord was his strength.Always striving to make heaven his home and asking God for eternal life. He was employed by Richland County School District One, retiring from Dreher High School, Columbia, SC after many years of faithful and dedicated services. A caring, loving and compassionate heart made it easy for him to reach beyond to share his time and whatever he could with others. Often visiting the sick and elderly to check on them, to experience and enjoy the wealth of their knowledge and life's lessons learned over their many years. Isaac was a lover ofmotor cycles, mopeds, bicycling, pets, the great outdoors and family. Those treasuring fond loving memories are his son Isaac "Ike" Williams Jr., Grandchildren, Dominique Williams, Quadaisha Williams, Justin Williams, Michael Williams, King Williams, Jeremiah Williams, and Antonio Williams, Sisters Carrie Mae Williams, Lottie Mae Williams, and Laura Williams Chapel, Aunts and Uncles, Lila "Rufus" Adams Woodard, Rebecca Adams Franks, Ophelia Adams Taylor, Savannah Adams Upshaw, and CatherineAdams Boozier,. A loving and devoted cousin, Mary A W Brown, Friend and classmate Eddie Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Isaac was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dover Williams Jr., and son, Daryl Christopher Williams. Services: Service for Mr. Isaac Williams Sr., will be held 11:00 am Saturday February 25, 2017 at the New Light Beulah Baptist Church. Internment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Williams will be placed in the church one hour prior for public viewing. Visitation will be Friday 1-8pm at the JP Holley Funeral Home Columbia Chapel.
