Henry Brooks Sr.

MR. HENRY LEE BROOKS SR. (PETE), was born December 4, 1946 in Hampton County to the late Rufus and Daisy Prestel Grant, but was lovingly reared by his adopted parents, the late Clyde and Lillie Bell Brooks.

On Wednesday, December 25, 2024, he departed this earthly life at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Mr. Brooks was educated in the Hampton County Schools and after graduating from High School, he relocated to Columbia, South Carolina and was employed at Allied Chemical Plant for many years. Henry had a deep appreciation for automotives and would devote numerous hours working on them, to the point that he became self-employed as an Automotive Mechanic, until he eventually retired.

Unfortunately his youngest son, Henry L. Brooks, JR. precede him in death.

He leaves to cherish precious memories, his son, (Retired Air Force), Chief Master Sergeant Jerald C. (Felicia) Brooks of Blythewood, South Carolina; his daughter, Angelette B. (Kevin) Belton of Columbia, South Carolina; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer B. Brooks of Newport News, Virginia; a former wife, Doris M. Brooks of Columbia South Carolina; three grandsons, four granddaughters, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
