Obituary: Harry Bernard Williams, 66, departed his earthly life Thursday, March 16, 2017 after sustaining injuries in a car accident. Preceded in death by his father Johnny Williams, mother Floree Hall Williams, loving sisters Doris Porter, Gracie Williams; and brothers Johnny Williams, Jr, and James Henry Hall. He leaves his wife, Joel Gadson Williams; his son, Torrey Williams of Marietta, Ga, daughter-in-law Sabine Williams; his daughter, Venecia W. Niakate of Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Kirsten Whitaker, Nicholas Williams, and Jacob Williams; siblings Sally Thomas, Carolyn Miles, brother-in-law Albertus Porter, cousin Willie James Sims (Irene), and a host of nieces and nephews who he truly loved. A graduate of Dreher High School, Mr. Williams served in the United States Army. After his military service, Mr. Williams was employed at Crockett Welding Supply for many years. He retired from Cedar Terrace Paper Company in 2012. Affectionately known as Sonny Boy, Love, and "H," Mr. Williams was an avid fisherman, and cook. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family members, friends, and watching NASCAR. He will truly be missed. Services: Funeral Service for Mr. Harry B. Williams, will be held 12:00 Wednesday March 22, 2017 at the JP Holley Funeral Home Columbia Chapel. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3 to 7 pm at the JP Holley Funeral Home Columbia Chapel.
