Gerald "Jerry" Alan Douglas

On Sunday, May 5th, 2024 Jerry Douglas, 77, went home to be with his LORD. He lived his entire life in West Columbia traveling the world to do his computer work. He had a great passion for music and science, and passed this on to his family and friends. Many nights he could be found setting up his telescope along with whomever he had convinced to see the night show. He was a member of Suburban Baptist Church where he led the praise team, and the owner of Alpha Data Systems first in West Columbia, then in Elloree, South Carolina. Son of Jack and Cleo Douglas, he is survived by beloved wife, Jennett Brazell Douglas; three children, Monica Douglas, Jeffry Douglas and April Vicars (husband Brent); five grandchildren; a brother, David and a sister, Nancy and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Jack and Cleo; six sisters, Jeanette, Delene, Jackie, Patsy, Kaye and Diane; and one brother, Mike. He is dearly loved and sorely missed.
