Gabriel David Taber

Gabriel David Taber of Eastover, SC passed away June 12th by a hit and run driver. Gabriel, born to Joseph David Taber and Kathleen O'Hara Beale, was a loving son and friend to many.

He attended Beaufort High. During his studies at Le Cordon Blue Culinary School in Atlanta, GA, he was on the Deans and Presidents list.

While Gabriel never married, his family and friends were paramount in his life. His siblings and nephews and nieces meant more to him than words can describe. He honed his culinary expertise as a Sous Chef in many fine restaurants, including the Cru Cafe, Cru Catering and Embassy Suites in Charleston, SC. He was always helping those less fortunate. Often giving aid and funds to the homeless and disabled at his own expense.

He is survived by His parents; stepmother, Judy Taber; sisters, Pandora Mobley, Carly Taber and Miriam Beale; a niece; three nephews; two grand nieces and a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.

Services will be held on Saturday June 24, at the Rose Hill Presbyterian Church on 229 S. Saluda, Columbia, SC. A family visitation will take place at 12:00pm. The Memorial Service  will begin at 1:30pm.
