Obituary: Mr. Fred Alonzo Wilson affectionately known as Tee-Tot was born on May 8, 1948. He was the son of the late Willie and Ruby Wilson. He departed this earthly life on October 22, 2017. At an early age he became a member of the Antioch A.M.E. Zion Church in Eastover, South Carolina where he remained a member until the time of his passing. Fred graduated from Webber High School in 1966. He then become a soldier in the U.S. Army. Fred served in the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heat for his service to our Country. After returning home from Vietnam he became a master at building and repairing boats. Mr. Wilson enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren. He was an avid gardener and was known for sharing his harvest with his family and friends. Fred also loved yard work and took pride in keeping his yard in prestige condition. Another one of his passions was outdoor grilling. He was known for his Barbequed ribs. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Ruby Wilson, his brother Willie Wilson Jr., and his daughter Tara Nicole Wilson. Left to cherish his precious members are his children; Anthony (Alferita) Garrick, Tiffany Wilson, Taylor Williams all of Columbia, SC, and Courtney (Jamaal) Peeler of Lexington, S.C. Eleven grandchildren: Keon, Shameal, Gilbert, Tray, Anthony Jr., Martel, Eric, Natalia, Megan, Caleb and Collin, and six great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memories are his siblings: Cora (Herbert) Branch of Hopkins S.C, Woodrow (Mariah) Wilson of Leola Pennsylvania, Evelyn (Jeff) McBeth, and Jimmy (Sonja) Wilson all of Eastover, South Carolina and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and other loving relatives and friends. Services: Funeral Service for Mr. Fred O Wilson, will be held 11:00 am Saturday Oct 28, 2017 at the Antioch AME Zion Church. Internment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Wilson will be placed in the Church one hour prior for public viewing. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 8 pm at the JP Holley Funeral Home - Columbia Chapel.
