Frances Elizabeth Smeltzer

Frances Elizabeth Smeltzer, 79, of Cassatt SC, formally from Uniontown PA, was called home on June 7, 2025. “Fran” was born on October 2, 1945, in Greensburg PA and was the daughter of Robert and Marie Pettigrew.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Kenneth “Ken”, her daughter Kim (Chuck) of Cassatt SC with whom she resided, daughters Lisa McMasters of Triadelphia WV and Paula Smeltzer of Aurora WV, and son James “Jim” Smeltzer of Uniontown PA. Siblings Gary (Jackie) Pettigrew of Greensburg PA, Joyce Grosser of Greensburg PA, Roberta Lord of Pittsburgh PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Fran was the proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Fran’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. Some of Fran’s favorite things to do were family game nights and late-night talks on the porch with her daughter Kim, and grandchildren Kayla, Allie, and Gherid.

As per her request there will be no public viewing or service.
