Elizabeth Magarin

March 20, 1969 — January 10, 2021

On Sunday, January 10th, 2021, Elizabeth Magarin, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 51 in Columbia SC. Elizabeth was born March 20, 1969 in Southern California to Juan & Josephine Garcia. On October 6, 1992 she married Boris Magarin in Galveston, TX. They reared two sons, Michael Gordon & Kevin Magarin. She was also blessed with a granddaughter, Kassidy Rose Gordon. Elizabeth had a passion for people and animals (especially her Baby Kitty) but her greatest passion was caring for her family. She made sure that they were always taken care of in every facet of the word. She was also an avid music lover with the likes of Morrissey and The Smiths being her all time favorites. She was known for her sarcasm, humor, kind, selflessness, and compassionate spirit, and above all her smile had the ability to brighten the most dreary and dull of rooms. In short this lady had an exuberant amount of love for the people around her, going above and beyond for those that needed her. She preferred to be called Lisa (as most knew her by).  Lisa was known to rename some of the people she met with quirky but loving names.  Favorite pastimes included swimming, dancing and social events.  Growing up in Southern California, she grew to love the beach, which became her favored vacation spot.  Hiking in Yosemite granted spiritual retreats with family and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her mother Josephine. She is survived by her sisters Leslie, Susan, Loretta, brother David plus countless nieces and nephews along with her husband Boris Magarin, two sons Michael Gordon and Kevin Magarin, and granddaughter Kassidy Rose Gordon. Elizabeth will be cremated and her ashes will eventually be spread in California as this was her true home. The family will be planning a memorial send-off via Facebook due to social distancing. The date will be announced in the near future. The family is asking in lieu of flowers that donations be made to support the plans for her final resting.

Due to COVID-19 JP Holley Funeral Home will not be able to provide any funeral arrangement information. You will need to contact the family for all funeral times and dates.
