Celebrating the Life of Edward Parez “Jr” Mickle March 8, 1973-October 1, 2026 Edward Parez Mickle, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Jr”, was born on March 8, 1973, in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Edward Mickle and Hattie “Bae” Mickle. He was born and raised in Columbia where he attended Eau Claire High School. Jr was a hardworking man who spent many years working at Harper’s Restaurant, where he remained a dedicated employee until the restaurant closed.
He later continued doing what came naturally to him, working with food through his employment in Food Services at MUSC. Anyone who knew Jr knew how much he loved to cook and fish. But even greater than those things was the love he had for his family. Jr enjoyed spending time with those he loved, and the memories, laughter, meals, and moments they shared with him will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
On October 1, 2026, Jr departed this life leaving behind a family who loved him dearly and countless memories that will never be forgotten.
He leaves to cherish his memory his special friend Lynn Jones, his sisters: Kim Stroman (Edward), Wanda Mickle, and Cathy Wright; his nieces: Jesenta Salley (Preston), Renee Mickle, Candace Mickle, Jasmine Wright, and Jessica Eaddy (Dewayne); his nephews: Micheal Mickle, Marcus Mickle, Deion London (Kameisha), and John D. Stroman; seven great-nieces and seven great nephews; along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones. Jr will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for cooking and fishing, and the special way he touched the lives of those around him. Although his presence will be deeply missed, the love and memories he shared with his family will live on forever. Rest peacefully Jr. Your love, your laughter, and your memory will forever remain in our hearts. We love you!
