Edward M. Baker

Edward McKuren Baker, 53, of Darlington, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2026. He was born on July 5th, 1972, in Sumter, South Carolina, to his father, Gerald Baker, and his mother, Eddie Faye Baker. He was the youngest brother of David Baker. Eddie attended West Florence High School and graduated from Francis Marion University in 1995. He was employed by Smurfit Westrock and was later employed by the South Carolina Department of Special Needs and Disabilities. Outside of work, Eddie enjoyed simple things such as gardening and decorating for any major holiday. He also enjoyed fishing and playing golf. Coloring books were something he was fond of as well. Eddie was known for being soft-hearted and very patient. 

Edward is survived by his wife, Kimberly Ray Baker; his brother, David Gerald Baker Jr.; his daughter, Carly Gracen Baker; the mother of his children, Carrie Ray Baker; and many other family members who cherished him. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Gerald Baker Sr., Eddie Faye Baker, and his son Hayden McKuren Baker.
