Diana Quimby Rhodes

September 16, 1960 — July 10, 2024

Our beloved Diana Q. Rhodes is now resting at the feet of Jesus after a long battle with stroke-related vascular dementia. She was called home on the 10th of July 2024 where she passed peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family.

Diana lived a long adventure-filled life from her starring roles in three Ringling Brothers Circus acts to frequenting theme parks and traveling. She was the life of the party. She never minded speaking her mind but was full of kindness, love, and generosity. She loved the beach most of all. She was most at peace when the waves touched the shore and the sun shone on the water. The ocean, particularly Florida, was her home.

She was born on September 16th 1960 to the late Thelma E. Beals and Douglas Quimby in Sarasota Florida. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Mitchel Rhodes of Troy Missouri and is survived by her son, Matthew Godfrey Sr., and 7 grandkids, Amber Godfrey, Matthew Godfrey Jr., Hunter Godfrey, Jordan Cotton, Kristofer Moore, Kenny Moore, and Nicholas Bell, as well as 1 great-grandson. She is missed dearly by two loving sisters, Donna Lansburg of Jacksonville Florida, and Ellen Orange of Palmetto Florida, as well as a nephew, Joey Johnson, and a niece, Adriane Orange.

She was loved by many and will be missed greatly. The memories of her time on earth with us will never be forgotten. May she dance on the shores of Heaven’s beaches for eternity with a smile.
