Daniel John Keim

August 20, 1947 — December 4, 2024

Age 77, of Columbia, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, surrounded by his family.  Early Life  Daniel John Keim was born on Aug 20, 1947, in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania to Betty Jean Seibert and John W. Keim. He grew up in Macungie, Pennsylvania and got his High  School Diploma at Brandywine Heights High School in Mertztown PA.  Life and Career  Daniel was a combat veteran in the United States Army during the Vietnam war which he  served for 3 years. After his service he was honorably discharged. Then he worked as a  final line mechanic for 33 years at Mack Truck, during which he received numerous  awards and certificates. Shortly after retiring from Mack Truck, Daniel returned to work  at Bose for 5 years working on the assembly line until the plant closed and moved to Mexico.  Family and Relationship  Daniel was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He married Anneice Kay Roth in  1974, and together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. He is survived by his three children Lori, Marci, and Derek as well as his wonderful wife Aneice and their  beautiful grandchildren Tyler, Emily, Logan, Bryce, and Brent.  Interests and Legacy  Daniel Keim enjoyed watching sports as well as wrestling on the TV, hunting, going for  nature walks and most of all spending time with his family. Daniel was a very smart man  who would always devote his free time to reading books and watching the information  channel. His favorite teams were the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles and the  Pittsburgh Stealers. He will be remembered for his passion for food, spreading smiles,  and his love for birds and nature.  Passing and Memorial Services  Daniel John Keim is preceded in death by his parents Betty Jean Seibert, John W. Keim  followed with his brothers Ramond and Richard. He is survived by His Wife, Children,  and Grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the National Cemetery at Fort  Jackson.  Closing Statement  Daniel John Keim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
