Daisy B. Sumpter

Obituary: Those left to cherish her precious memories are her devoted and loving husband, Roscoe L. Sumpter; daughters, Stephanie R. (Christopher) Lindsey and Sonya (Arthur, Jr.) Gilley; sons Cedric L. (Jackie) Sumpter and David Z. Sumpter; sisters, Lessie (David) Rice, Patricia (Clarence) Linnen and Gladys (Joseph) Wright; brother, Morris (Patricia) Canteen; step brothers Richard (Elisa) Holmes and Luther (Gwenzella) Holmes; step-sisters, Bernice (Estee) Scurry and Helen Holmes; eleven grandchildren along with a host of other loving relatives and caring friends all of whom will miss her dearly. Services: will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Zion Millcreek Baptist Church with interment to follow Friday at 4:00 p.m. in the church cemetery. Mrs. Sumpter will be placed in the church at 11:00 a.m. Services have been entrusted to JP Holley Funeral Home.
