Carolyn Louise Brown

It is with intense sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn Louise Brown, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world peacefully on December 19, 2024. Her unwavering love, radiant kindness, and unshakable strength touched the lives of all who knew her.

Born on August 14, 1963 in Lexington, South Carolina, to the late Theafus and Pearline Brown. Carolyn was a woman of grace, compassion, and love. Her life was a testament to God’s unfailing love. She had a remarkable way of lighting up a room while filling it with laughter.

Carolyn is survived by her loving daughter, Tara Staley, whom she cherished with all her heart; her steadfast partner in life; Nelson Ortiz and her three adoring sisters: Swarzetta Brown, Wakita Gadson and Ardrenia Brown who shared a bond of love and laughter through the years. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, as well as many extended family members and dear friends who held a special place in her heart

Carolyn's legacy is one of love and warmth. Her presence taught us to laugh loudly, live boldly, and face challenges with resilience and grace. Her memory will forever be a source of inspiration and comfort. An intimate celebration of Carolyn's life will be held on at a later date. While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take solace in knowing that Carolyn’s love will continue to shine brightly in our lives. She will be deeply missed and eternally loved.

A public visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at JP Holley Funeral Home (8132 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29209.)
