Brian Jovon Rogers

Obituary: Brian Jovon Rogers who we loved was born November 26, 1981, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was the eldest of four children born to Collis Rogers, Jr. and the late Annie Rogers Garrick. On Sunday, March 19, 2018, Brian departed this life for a more beautiful sanctuary. Brian graduated from Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School. He succeeded in everything he put his mind to. He was the type of person if you told him he couldn't do something he will work twice as hard to make it happen. Brian worked many years in the manufacturing field. He was always well organized, hard-working and very ambitious. Brian was very optimistic and always looked at the brighter side of things. You could count on Brian for encouraging words and good advice. Brian's three girls were his heart and joy. He always strived to give his kids the best. He enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music, and cooking. Brian was very generous and never failed to help anyone in need, even if it was his last. He always maintained a calmed spirit. He was a great man, loved by all, and will be sorely missed. Brian was preceded in death by: his mother, Annie Rogers Garrick. Brian leaves behind many wonderful and loving memories permanently impressed upon our hearts. Those left to cherish the many fond memories are: his children, Justice Davis, Z'onia Rogers, and Laci Rogers; his father, Collis Rogers, Jr; step father, Osborne Garrick; brother, Marcus Steed; step brother, Carlos Garrick; two sisters, Ostachia Garrick and Anbria Garrick; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other loving relatives and dear friends. Services: Funeral services for Brian Jovon Rogers will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at JP Holley Funeral Home, Columbia Chapel. A visitation will be held Monday afternoon from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
