Audrey Smith

Obituary: Audrey Smith was born May 20, 1927 in LaBrea, Trinidad, West Indies. She was the daughter of James and Juanita Smith. She departed this life on Friday, April 20, 2018, at Countrywood Nursing Home, Hopkins, SC. Audrey was blessed with five (5) beautiful daughters and was a member of Kingdom Builders Christian Center. She believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, even though she faced health challenges over the years, she maintained a joyous spirit. She was educated on the island of Trinidad and Tebago. She was employed by Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey, there she did what she loved and enjoyed; delivering newborn babies. She also enjoyed singing, gardening, and her bible reading. Audrey Smith leaves to cherish her precious memory: her five daughters, Gloria (Whitford) Luke, of Eastover, SC, Betty (Ravely) Southwell, of Kissimmee, FL, Eunice Robinson, of Temple, TX; Cheryl (Caruthia) Jack, of San Leandro, CA; and June Smith (Oluwole) Tomori, of Hackensack, NJ; five grandchildren, Ayoka (Kurt) Gordon, Justin (Rebecca) Parris, Whitney Bryant, Morgan Bryant, and Jason Robinson; one sister, Eutilda Belle; eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. Services: Funeral services for Ms. Audrey Smith will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 12:00 noon, at the Kingdom Builders Christian Center, Columbia, SC. A visitation and the family receive friends Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the JP Holley Funeral Home, Garners Ferry Road Chapel.
