Obituary: Antonn A. McRant, affectionately known as "Tonn" and "Bubba" was born on June 11, 1975 at Baptist Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on March 24, 2018. Antonn was the son of the late Alexander J, McRant and Ella W. McRant. Antonn was a 1993 graduate of Lower Richland High School. He also attended Midlands Technical College. At an early age, he was baptized at Zion Mill Creek Baptist Church. He was licensed as a minister on March 17, 1996. Antonn's mission in life was to inspire and mentor children by encouraging them to learn to dance and play basketball; he was the unofficial mascot for Lower Richland Basketball Team. He could frequently be seen dancing and performing at any Mall- Columbia Fashion Mall, Village at Sandhills, Columbiana Mall and at any place he could find. Antonn also assisted his dad in managing the Hopkins Warrior Baseball Team. Leaving to cherish loving memories are his mother, Ella W. McRant; his sister, Katrina M. (Andre') Thompson; one niece, Genelle A. Thompson; one nephew, Ernest A. Thompson; Aunts, Jessie White of Columbia, SC, Blanche McFadden of Hopkins, SC, Cathy McRant of Clarendon, AR; Uncles, Albert ( Deloris) McRant, of Smyrna, DE, Nehemiah (Josephine) McRant of Blythewood, SC, and Harold McRant of California; a special cousin considered as a "Little Brother" Dewayne (Levern) Silver along with a host of cousins and friends. Services: Funeral services for Mr. Antonn Alexander McRant will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Zion Mill Creek Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and the Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at JP Holley Funeral Home Columbia Chapel.
