Annie Ruth Taylor

Obituary: Ms. Annie Ruth Taylor, daughter of the late Hector, Sr. and Annie Mae Taylor was born July 20, 1937 in Columbia, South Carolina (Richland County). After a brief illness, she departed this life on Friday, March 9, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital. She attended the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina. She was employed for the University of South Carolina for many years. She was preceded in death by: her parents Hector, Sr. and Annie Taylor; one daughter, Jennifer Doctor; one sister, Roberta T. Hingleton; and one brother, Hector Taylor, Jr. Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her legacy are: two daughters, Pamela (Ricky) Johnson and Felicia Taylor, both of Columbia, SC; one sister, Mrs. Mary Myers, of Hopkins, SC; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Taylor, of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a cousin who was her bestfriend and like a sister, Ms. Hattie M. Smith, of Columbia, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends, all of whom she loved and will miss her dearly. Services: Funeral services for Ms. Annie Ruth Taylor will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at New Light Beulah Baptist, Hopkins, SC, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday staring at 1:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the JP Holley Funeral Home
