Lloyd Wesley Johnson was born November 3rd, 1929 in Shaker Heights, Ohio, to Wilma Honorah (Walker) and Emery Allen Johnson. Lloyd was the middle child of five children with two brothers and two sisters. He grew up in Bedford, Ohio and was drafted into the US Army after graduating from Bedford High School. His military career spanned 23 years, and ended with Lloyd retiring as a Master Sergeant.
Lloyd was also an artist. When he was just 12 years old, he was commissioned to paint a mural in his home town at a local church. He continued to express himself in many fine sketches and paintings throughout his life, using both chalk and oil paints.
He was an outstanding, all-around athlete who enjoyed playing football, baseball, basketball, tennis, bowling and golf.
Lloyd was first married to Dorothia Lockhart. They had two children together prior to their separation. Lloyd later married Mary Arden (Belle) Johnson and produced three children from that union prior to divorce.
Lloyd Wesley Johnson passed away on May 20th, 2024, at the age of 94. He is survived by four daughters: Linda Stockton, Donna Godwin, Bonnie Gaulman, and Loren Sears (Renaldo Sears). He has over 40 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by former wives Dorothia Lockhart and Mary Johnson and his son, David Lloyd John
