Veronica Francheska Edwards

Veronica F. Edwards passed away April 14, 2024, at the age of 75.  She was born August 9, 1949 in Harlem Hospital New York to the parents of Francis Henry Edwards Sr. and Marion Caroline Freeman. She was the eldest of three. Veronica grew up on the Lower East Side in the Lillian Wald Project’s where she attended Saint Brigid Elementary School, She went on to attend Cathedral High School and graduated in 1967.  She received her BA in the Medical Field. Veronica was a productive member of in her Community. She was a wonderer,  Veronica relocated to Pasadena California, Brooklyn and finalized her journey in Columbia South Carolina. She was a home body, and a self employed hard worker who always helped others and made sure everyone in her path was set up and cared for.  She was a people person.  Throughout her life, she received multiple  awards for Religious Services this was her lifetime passion.  Veronica  attended and fell in love with Woodfield Park Baptist Church under the leadership of:  Paster Jeff Phillips. Which was renamed New Creation Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ed Stewart.  Her love for the Lord led her to take a course in Biblical Studies where she received a certificate of recognition.  She found a whole new appreciation for life, and often stated that every day she enjoyed her walk with Jesus.  She was a member of Women’s Ruth Sunday School, she helped teach the Youth Church Group and donated her services with the Sick and Shut in. During her time of in capacitation she shared in daily devotions Movie nights and held some of her Church Family hostage (Becca Tony and Betty) for continual conversation. She enjoyed her hallmark movies. Veronica lived her life and along the way touched the hearts of many. She had a strong Love for Family and Friends. She is survived by: Sister Yolanda. Daughters:  Ashley, Shinita and Son Darius. Grandchildren:  Timothy, (wife Nicolette), Noah, Alieka and Shardae  Great-grand Children:  Gabriel Kai and Freya Bailey  Niece andNephew:  Octavia,Marion, Jerome and Conrad Jr. and a hosts of Family and Friends. Veronica held a special relationship with her adopted Sister Rebecca (Becca) She is predeceased by: Freddie H. Pepper, Elijah Harris and Alvin Jenkins.  Her Parents:  Francis H. Edwards and Marion C. Freeman. Brother:  Francis H Edwards jr. (Frankie) her twins Baby boy, Yvette Wilhelmina and Grandson Gabriel. Viewing available at 5:00 PM  and  Interment will be held on a later date at Calvert  National Cemetery. In memory of Veronica donations can be made to: New Creation Baptist Church. https://g.co/kgs/TjAaL6m

She hasn’t gone away she’s just gone on. It’s all about that final day, which begins the new day of all eternity.
